Fixed asset plates and labels

There are various methods of identifying fixed assets using identification plates or labels: 

Tags: 

The information that will be found on the labels will be personalized according to each company, usually including information such as: description, asset code and barcode, as well as the company logo. 

This is a lower cost and easier method since labels can be printed at the time a new asset is entered into the system, but caution must be used when entering information so that unnecessary codes are not created or labels are printed. that do not correspond to an asset.

Barcode

Using barcodes for identification is feasible to keep the information complete and at hand, in this way having the management of a considerable number of assets, since movements and modifications in fixed assets can be recorded more efficient and without the need for documentation.

The information that can be stored ranges from location, depreciation amounts, asset valuation reports and other useful reports for the company, keeping everything within reach of a portable terminal. 

Metal plates: 

The metal plate contains the same information as the label, but guarantees greater durability at a higher price. They can be made from a wide variety of materials, the most common being polyester, silver, plastic, aluminum and steel.

Organizations that wish to implement metal plates as a means of controlling their assets must consider that they are printed individually, unlike labels, which cannot be printed when entering data into the software. 

Dialing:  

This process can replace metal plates in most cases where a self-adhesive stability label with a printed barcode is sufficient to meet the need, helping to minimize manual audits and inventory times.

RFID tags

They are small self-adhesive devices that have antennas inside that allow them to receive and respond to radio frequency requests from RFID transmitters. Passive tags do not require an internal power outlet, while active tags do.

QR code

QR, or Instant Response Code, is the next step from the barcode, as it allows information to be stored in an aspect matrix or in a two-dimensional barcode. It is an economical tool that allows you to recover more information in a smaller space.
